Teaching and research office for Chinese culture of teaching Chinese as a foreign language center in College of International Education was established in January 2016.

Our office is mainly responsible for making teaching program and teaching our foreign clinical medicine undergraduates and advanced Chinese language students “China Panorama” (1st semester, 36 teaching hours),  “Writing Chinese Characters ”(1st semester, 16 teaching hours), “Chinese Culture”(6th semester, 36 teaching hours). Meanwhile, it assists other teaching and research offices in undertaking the tasks of teaching Chinese language and cultivate young teachers.

Teaching and research office for Chinese culture focuses on the research of Chinese humanistic knowledge and international communication.The emphasis of our office’s work refers to effectively combining language teaching with culture communication, which systematically introduces and demonstrates the traditional Chinese culture and contemporary situation to students, so as to promote exchanges and cooperation between our university and foreign countries, to promote teaching Chinese to speakers of other languages.

There are four teachers in TCAL teaching and research office for Chinese culture, including one professor, two lecturers, and one teaching assistant. Two of them have the experience of studying overseas such as Denmark, Australia, Britain.

Teaching and research office for Chinese culture carries out teaching work by the concept of research guiding teaching and teaching practicing research. Main research direction: Mode of teaching Chinese as a foreign language,task-based language teaching, the Lexical Approach , etc.
